Oh Iβve been waiting for this for what feels like a long long time! Itβs delicious already! I was so happy to see it in my inbox this morning! Thank you!!! Great way to start the day: with the start of an awesome story.
I like that we're already seeing signs of untrustworthiness in the narration, like when my suspicion that the brief dream was purposefully being left glossed over was immediately confirmed by the next journal entry. Our narrator is already an interesting character with his thoughts on evil. Now I want to look into the Christmas pantomime. Was hoping for footnotes, but I guess they might not be part of the story proper.
This will definitely be a breath of fresh air for me on a weekly basis. I am not used to reading such unique narrations and I'm finding this to be lovely! Father has already captured my attention more than I expected (I am not the religious type).
I almost can't believe that I'm reading the first chapter of this, when so clearly I remember that funny post on tumblr during Dracula Daily putting out the idea. This seems like a dream, and hopefully one as mezmerising and exciting as the one our main character Victor had. I can't wait to read more and eagerly await each new chapter with baited breath!
I'm a bit late to the party, but I've been looking forward to this, and I'm not disappointed! Your writing style is delightful. Opening lines are hard to get right but you absolutely nailed it. I love that we get to see even the parts of the text that the Father tries to cross out and hide -- it tells us a lot more about him than I think he'd feel comfortable putting into the letters. I feel like we're right on the edge of something. I enjoy how he keeps emphasising that he needs to resist temptation, and knowing that sooner or later his self control is going to falter. Can't wait to see where this goes!
Oooh, I like where this is going already! Yes, Father, your soul has a lot to worry about, with still more waiting in the wings!

This is incredible! This exactly what Iβve been needing to read, well worth the wait and Iβm so excited for more!
A fantastic opening. Already interested in the Father and his back story as well as what is waiting for him on the island.
"I've always wanted to meet a demon" is *such* a powerful start to this story I'm so excited to see where it goes!

I love an unreliable narrator and this Father is already very intriguing. I'm excited to see his writings unravel
Thank you I'm so glad you're enjoying it!
