You've certainly captured the bit of obnoxious smugness whenever Christian priests and the like talk about pagans in the past chapter and this one. Yes Father A you were gay and now you're also homophobic we've read between the lines. And in comes Danny with the steel chair!

On a serious note, we're definitely getting closer to a major turning point. Both Father Ardelian and Lord Vane are starting to show part of their hands. I don't think the cavern visit, or first anyway, will be the end though, feels too soon. Or maybe I'm overestimating how close it is. I don't have any sense for how Danny's appearance is going to impact the trajectory of events here, which has me excited.

Things are definitely ramping up! I wish I could say more, but I’m always happy to write Danny again :)

Danny to the rescue! Or maybe not. Hopefully she hasn't arrived with bad news. The battle between the Father and Lord Vane is getting interesting and it looks like Lord Vane may have the upper hand. A beautiful chapter as always.

This chapter was absolutely enthralling - the back-and-forth of their dialogue, more hints of Victor's past, Danny's surprise entrance (rescue?). Also, the way Victor outright admits that what he saw in St Silvan's Head is nothing he hasn't seen in his own heart? It's pretty amazing how direct he can be about his queerness whilst also being so deep in denial, it makes him wonderful to read about. Looking forward to seeing what's in those ruins! And yay Danny!
